PROVIDING A GOOD FOUNDATION!
WHY YOUR LESSON WON'T WORK:
We begin the lesson by first assessing your TALENT, VOICE, VOLUME, SINGING SKILLS and your CONFIDENCE LEVEL.
- Listening to music from as young as 3 years old will result to a developed PITCH.
- Singing, Dancing or Playing an Instrument will help a person to develop TIMING.
Better talent will depend on the length and intensity of your exposure. Depending on your exposure PITCH is acquired without TIMING, since playing an instrument, singing and dancing are practiced based on an individual's interest and opportunity.
Classifying your Voice is crucial before embarking on any Vocal lessons.
SOUND CLASSIFICATIONS:
1) Natural Resonance: Good Resonance but limited range and tone.
2) Normal Resonance: Average Resonance but versatile tone.
3) Imbalanced Resonance:
Physically - Same as Speaking
Musically - Wrong Modulation
VOCAL CONTROL SKILLS:
Tone - Sound Quality
a) Thick
b) Thin
Volume - Effort Quality
a) Soft
b) Loud
MODULATION SKILLS:
Mixing the right amount of TONE & VOLUME to create balanced RESONANCE.
CONFIDENCE:
All the skills and techniques are useless if the singer lacks or has little CONFIDENCE. It's a FACT, Inhibition is the major reason why it's difficult to sing high notes or to throw the voice out.
Now you are ready for your first lesson. Have Fun!!!
